Do Not Call registry

A government list of numbers whose owners have opted out of telemarketing calls.

The registry records consumers who have asked not to receive sales calls. In the United States, calling a listed number for telemarketing without an existing relationship or written consent exposes the caller to statutory penalties per call.

Scrubbing a calling list against the registry is a compliance step, not an optimisation. It is required before campaigns, and the obligation sits with the caller, not with any data provider.

A clean scrub result is not blanket permission. Consent rules, calling-time restrictions, and state-level registries apply on top of it.
