Domain age
How long ago a domain was first registered, one of the plainest signals separating established sites from disposable ones.
Registration date comes from registry records. A domain registered a decade ago has survived renewal decisions for years. One registered last week has not, and the overwhelming majority of phishing and throwaway fraud infrastructure is very young.
Age is a weak signal on its own, because new legitimate businesses exist and aged domains get bought precisely to look established. It is strong in combination: young, no MX record, no DMARC, unranked, and appearing in a threat feed is a coherent picture.
