Datacenter IP
An address belonging to a hosting or cloud provider rather than to a consumer internet connection.
Datacenter addresses are where servers live. A human browsing from home appears on a residential ISP; traffic from a cloud range is a machine, a VPN endpoint, or a scraper.
That distinction is one of the strongest cheap fraud signals available. A checkout from a hosting range is not automatically fraudulent, since corporate VPNs also terminate there, but it deserves more scrutiny than a residential connection.
We classify against published cloud ranges refreshed daily, which is why the answer works for newly allocated blocks rather than lagging behind them.
